PROJECTS

Find Your Pace is a weather-based run pace predictor. FYP uses runner input to predict how fast the user will run a specific distance today with the help of Google Maps geocoding and Dark Sky’s API’s. Unlike other race calculators, FYP calculates the effects of headwinds and heat offset from both the original race time and from the current weather to produce a more accurate time prediction.

Want to ride bikeshare with friends? Bike With Bae will help you find Capital Bikeshare and JUMP bikes in the DC metro area. Select how many people you're riding with, how far you're willing to walk, and what bikeshare companies you prefer. BWB displays the nearest bikeshare stations that have enough bikes for you and your friends to ride. BWB uses the Esri ArcGIS for JavaScript API, Material UI, Redux, and Webpack. I presented BWB at DC's Transportation Techies meetup in April 2019.

Need to recycle an old phone, or other electronics and live in the DC area? ezCycle can help. This app allows users to find electronics recycling centers in the greater DC/NOVA area with our lightening-fast filter. Coded in React, Leaflet, Algolia, Node, Express, and MongoDB. I managed data indexing, filtering, and map rendering for this MERN stack app.

In Pace Maker, users can create an account & save personal best running race times along with race weather conditions to track improvement over time. Pace Maker uses this data & weather API’s to predict target pace training zones (5k, 10k, & half-marathon pace) for today, based on weather offset.
